| Projects: | Project title:Improved Good Governance Practices at District and Commune Council Levels Funds awarded:US$149,999 Areas of Implementation:Battambang (5 communes); Pursat (5 Sangkat); Kampong Cham (5 communes) Implementation period:January 2012 – December 2012 Project summary:The project will complement and extend the Learning Component of the DFGG project by engaging in structured learning activities (learning by doing) in nine commune councils and three district councils. The primary objective of the project is to strengthen and enhance the DFGG Project Coordinating Office (PCO’s) learning program within the DFGG project by extending learning and engagement, and documenting lessons learned/best practices on good governance and key social accountability issues and tools, to the district and commune levels. A secondary objective is to promote constructive engagement between citizens and sub-national councils to build their confidence and capacity to work together towards common objectives. Pact works with three provincial NGOs: Village Support Group (VSG), Anakot Khumar (AK), and Phnom Srey Organization for Development (PSOD).
